Register now for the new Level 3 Floorcovering NVQ!

There is now a 24-month transitional period for the new Level 3 Floorcovering NVQ in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The change is part of a move toward a single combined Level 3 pathway for Textile and Resilient floorcovering.

FITA is able to offer support to floorlayers in obtaining a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Floorcovering Occupations (Construction) through On-Site Assessment (OSAT).

Membership of the CFA or NICF is NOT required to register for the programme and is NOT a requirement for funding eligibility.

This course is designed to improve on already gained skills of a design floor LVT installer, including approaches to more complex installations and fitting techniques such as installing on angles, creating field and borders and also straightforward herringbone work.

A ‘must-do’ course for those wanting to add to their skills, revenue and range of work they can undertake with LVT.

FITA remembers Ian James

We were saddened to hear recently of the passing of Ian James who was an integral part of the FITA training consultant team during the earlier years of the association.

Although Ian stepped back from instructing some years ago, he contributed to the training of flooring professionals during his time with FITA and was fundamental in establish the practical, industry-focused training for which FITA is known for today.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
