The UK Chief Medical Officers have published new physical activity guidelines, and the message is clear: the biggest health gains come from moving from inactivity to any level of activity.
Walking to the shops, wheeling, taking the stairs, dancing, gardening, active play and household tasks all count when they’re part of daily life. Strength and balance have also been highlighted as essential for long‑term health.
To help organisations share this message consistently, the Department of Health and Social Care has released new resources, including infographics and communications materials.
These are designed to support professionals across health, education, sport, local government and the voluntary sector: https://ow.ly/HeIu50ZmMKC
