Rhythm Time South Nottinghamshire, Loughborough & the Surrounding Villages

Rhythm Time South Nottinghamshire, Loughborough & the Surrounding Villages Rhythm Time is a developmental music class for babies and toddlers in Loughborough and Mountsorrel

Rhythm Time is a really enjoyable experience for children but it is much more than just a sing-along. It is a well thought out musical experience which uses lots of exciting songs and activities to help a child's development and life skills. We instil in children a love and understanding of music from an early age. However, when you are involved in educating young children, it is very important that they have lots of fun during the lessons. Children learn in different ways and are also at different stages developmentally. With this in mind and to enhance their experience in the classes, Rhythm Time offers different courses: music classes for babies, toddlers and pre-school children. In the classes we do lots of unaccompanied singing which helps the babies and children to start vocalising and to sing in tune. Singing together also helps to build the neural pathways that stimulate the growth of language and memory. All the courses have been created by Kathy Doolan (DRSAM, LRAM), who trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow. Kathy previously was head of music in a Scottish school and shares with all franchisees and teachers a real passion and belief in the importance of music during a child's formative years. Children certainly learn from an early age that actively making music with others is a wonderful experience. Week by week, as they develop, so does their CONFIDENCE, CREATIVITY and COORDINATION.

BIG NEWS happening here at Rhythm Time Loughborough!

As some of you are already aware, Rhythm Time Loughborough has been on the market. The exciting news is that we have been successful! Jen at Rhythm Time Leicester is set to take over from the end of June.

This means that I will be hanging up my maracas after a wonderful 5 years. I have many mixed emotions but am looking forward to my new chapter happy that Rhythm Time Loughborough can continue in safe hands.

My last classes will be this week. I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who has supported our journey, some people returning with second and even third babies. It has been an absolute pleasure to be part of your little ones early development and to get to know you all. It is the end of an era!

I'm sure I will see many of you around in soft plays, classes and children's attractions.

Did you know that a third of babies won’t have slept all night by 12 months?

It is too easy to compare yourself and your baby to others. But every baby is different, and this means their sleep patterns differ greatly too.

The truth is, babies wake up for their own safety. Encouraging your baby to sleep longer or deeper than their stage of development could be dangerous, and may increase the risk of SIDS.

Every baby is so different – so don’t compare yours to others, or feel like you’re doing something wrong. Remind yourself, this Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week, that you, like all of us, are doing the best you can.💛
