Just a reminder that our OPAL celebration and fundraiser is taking place on Thursday!
We would be very grateful for any contributions to our cake sale. If you are able to donate cakes or bakes, please bring them to reception on Thursday morning.
Don’t forget that Thursday is also a non-uniform day. Children are invited to come in their own clothes and bring a £1 donation.

WOW. What an effort from our incredible volunteers!
A huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone who gave up their Saturdays to bring our OPAL mud kitchen to life. This wasn’t a small job, it took real time, energy, and commitment, and the result speaks for itself. You’ve created something truly special for the children.
And a massive thank you to the LLFG for funding this project. Your support has made a lasting difference and helped turn this idea into a reality.
We already know this is going to be one of the most loved areas in school, full of creativity, imagination, and messy joy.
Roll on Tuesday… we genuinely can’t wait to see the children’s faces!

Our project, “Opal Play at Lantern Lane,” is now going forward to a public vote in local Tesco stores and we’d love your help.
Voting runs from 28th April to the end of July, and every single token really does count.

How it works:
Every time you shop in one of these stores, you’ll be given a blue token. Just pop it into the slot for Lantern Lane Primary and Nursery School.

This morning in our OPAL assembly we introduced the Golden Wellie award. Each week during our CARE assembly, one child from KS1 and one child from KS2 will be chosen as our OPAL Superstar. The award recognises children who show great teamwork, creativity, and enthusiasm in their play, as well as those who help look after our OPAL equipment and support others during playtime. 🌟
