31 final year students all passed with some of the highest grades we have seen and the largest group we have ever had.

That’s 31 budding race mechanics and engineers waiting to take the motorsport world head on! 😎

We wish them all the best and hope to bump into them at a circuit soon!

It can only be race week!

Off to Snetterton this weekend for the next round of the Equipe MG Cup!

All 3 cars are prepped with just final checks remaining for the students to complete.

Last time out at Silverstone all our drivers stood on the podium with two wins and a second place! A credit to our students and the levels of preparation they go to.

Let’s hope the racing gods are kind to us and we manage some more silverware!

Where on earth do we start with our weekend at Silverstone GP as part of the Equipe MG Cup!

It was a lot of firsts for us, starting with a new driver in the form of Simon Harding our very own workshop lecturer and his first ever race! Making it a 3 car team all piloted by our lecturers!

The next was this was in at the deep end, the full GP circuit but not only that but a rolling start and a 40 minute pit stop race!! Bwwooahh!

The sun came out for quali and our drivers didn’t disappoint and got straight to work.

Alex P1 in class, Gary P3 in class and Simon P3 in class!

After lunchtime checks by the 12 strong student team we were all set and ready to rock! 😎🤘🏻

Although this was a 40 minute endurance our drivers got straight down to business setting PB laps instantly!

An early safety car played into our hands with all drivers spotting the pit window had just opened and dived in to make the most of their mandatory stop.

As time went on it was clear our drivers were really hauling!

As time ran out Alex came across the line in the class c ZS, P1 in class and P2 overall! Next was Gary in the class B ZR P1 in class and P4 overall! And finally in his first ever race, Simon in the class A ZR P2 in class!! Silver wear all round 😎

It’s race week!

And for the first time all 3 circuit cars are heading to Silverstone for our qualifying and 40 minute pit stop race this Saturday 😎

Lots of firsts for us including a rolling start 😮‍💨

12 students will be working on the cars in teams of 4 to give them a true life like representation of industry and making them the best young technicians and engineers in the business 🤓

The cars are going through final checks and set up changes so we are ready to rock 😎🤘🏻

This time last week we were riding a wave of success with our first outing with two of the MG’s in the Equipe MG Cup at Silverstone!

Success in the fact both cars ran faultlessly, our students did us proud working hard to maximise the performance and preparation of the cars and our drivers surpassed all expectations.

Gary Cook driving the class B ZR came home 9th in class making up positions in a very competitive field, fantastic progress!

Alex Fletcher in the class C ZS only went and managed two class wins!

A brilliant performance from our lecturers, yep that’s right just our normal staff that happen to both be Rallycross champions, not some paid driver for the weekend.

We are back at Silverstone in 3 weeks time for our first pit stop race but this time with 3 cars!

We can finally revel our 3, yes 3 new race cars!

You saw a sneaky view of two of them at the end of last year but now with the completion of them and the addition of a V6 MG ZS!

All complete with their new 2026 Wera tools liveries 😮‍💨

All 3 ready to rock and 2 making their debut tomorrow at Silverstone in the Equipe MG Cup.

Last weekend saw the team head to Blyton park in Lincolnshire for round 1 of the BTRDA Clubmans Rallycross Championship for the defence of the overall title for the 3rd year.

The MOT Training & Compliance Group Ltd production category driver Alex Fletcher was up against it with some extremely fast competitors.

Alex managed to qualify on the front row for the all important final. With an awesome start Alex took the lead into the first corner, but was up against it with the chasing pack. Under immense pressure he managed to hold off the challenge to take the win!

We weren’t the fastest car this time out so we have some work to do, nothing our team of keen students can’t handle! Bring on the challenge 😎🤘🏻
