Using your mind:
You should consider two things before doing any actions or before following any ideas.
Number 1 is to find the source of it, the origin, ask yourself where is it coming from, what is the evidence.
Number 2 is to think what is the long term consequences of it. It is not enough that it brings benefit for short period. It must be long term benefit.
If you can make this thinking your habit, you can not be mislead. After this effort if you slip, Allah will help you.

School management
Extreme ideas come from Ignorance and lack of knowledge. If you are not giving your child the right learning, they will get the wrong learning from someone else. It will be too late then to bring their thoughts back on track.
So plan your child’s learning.
So we send our children to Nursery, then to Primary. After that we send them to Secondary, then College and University. But when it comes to educating them on their religion, we suffice with them just finishing maqtab. We don’t educate them beyond that point.
Think! Have you done Justice to them?
