Just a reminder that there will be no Splat session tonight or for the foreseeable - as soon as things change we will be back with a vengeance! Hope you're all staying healthy and upbeat :)
Splat Improv Comedy
Loughborough's first improv workshops.
16/03/2020
Dear friends,
Following the current advice as per the government’s briefing this afternoon, we will be suspending all of our Splat workshops and performance nights for the foreseeable future, in order to do our bit to protect the vulnerable members of our community and to limit the spread of the Coronavirus.
We are monitoring events closely, and will update you asap once the situation changes.
Sending all our love to everyone in our community at this difficult and uncertain time ❤️ We look forward to welcoming you back to Loughborough in the not-too-distant future 😊
For more information on the current situation, please refer to the NHS guidelines:
Coronavirus (COVID-19) NHS advice about coronavirus (COVID-19), including what to do if you think you have it and how to reduce your chances of getting it.
Tonight we saw the circle of toilet paper hoarding, some utterly bizarre monsters, and a father/daughter battle that shook the world to the core.
Thank you to those who came and took part in improv for the first time, and we'll see you all soon 😊
*ANNOUNCEMENT*
We will still be running our usual Splat workshop tonight from 6.30pm, but we have unfortunately had to cancel the planned performance in the second half of the night. We apologise for any disappointment this may cause and will keep you updated on our future plans 🙂
We have been monitoring the situation regarding COVID-19 closely and whilst we believe it is still safe to run our workshop, we would encourage all attendees to bear in mind the current protocols: wash your hands regularly, limit physical contact with other people, and if you feel at all unwell please stay home and follow NHS guidelines:
Coronavirus (COVID-19) NHS advice about coronavirus (COVID-19), including what the symptoms are and how to reduce your chances of getting it.
Ahead of their star turn here tomorrow, we're wishing our good friends Tiny Stories Improv a fab gig tonight over at The Victoria in Birmingham. They're playing alongside Improv duos The Folly and Improvoke - all well worth checking out!
LOVE IMPROV? If you can't wait til Friday to get your fix then you can catch monthly improvised show "Uncle Armando" at Upstairs at the Western in Leicester tomorrow (Wednesday) at 7:30, featuring familiar Splat faces Nat, Hannah and Adam!

IT'S THIS FRIDAY and boy do we have a treat for you in the form of East Midlands superstars Tiny Stories Improv and stand-up from Jen Strike (Tiny Stories, Improvoke, The Same Faces, Midlands SupHerGroup). We will have our usual workshop beforehand if that's your bag, and the comedy night will be topped off with a delightful layer of jam.
Tell your friends and we'll see you all at Fearon Hall this Friday!
Our next Splat workshop and performance evening will be Friday 13th (a week Friday!) upstairs at Fearon Hall. Hooray!

What a big box of fun last night was! A massive thanks to our guests acts Wayward Souls Improv and Pippa Hastings, and a special shout out to our Splattees Mike, Luke and Rob for getting up and performing in the jam! You rocked it guys!
Just for reference, here's a pic of people pretending to be both in a car, and terrified of doors.
