🐾🦖 August at Playgroup 🐷🐛

We’ve had lots of fun exploring an animal theme at playgroup throughout August!

🐄 Farm fun – Our farm-themed Tuff Tray was full of farm animals, pens, fields, grass and even a muddy bath for the pigs! 🐷

🦁 Wild animal rescue – The children had to rescue wild animals from the tape, which was great for developing fine motor skills while also naming and identifying the different animals. 🐯🦓

🐛 Bug hunting – We used pincers to pick up bugs from our Tuff Tray, then headed outside for a real-life bug hunt! The children loved searching for little creatures hiding around the playgroup. 🔍🐞

💦 Washing the farm animals – The farm animals got very muddy, so the children enjoyed washing them with soapy water and sponges. A great sensory activity and lots of fun! 🧽🐑

🦖 Dinosaur Land – Our Tuff Tray was transformed into a dinosaur landscape. There was lots of stomping, roaring and dinosaur adventures! 🦕🌿

🎨 Getting creative– We’ve also had plenty of opportunities to get creative, messy foam play, painting with brushes and even our hands! 🖐️🎨

It’s been a busy month full of exploring, imagining, creating and learning through play.

We can’t wait to see what adventures September brings! 🍂
