Over the last few days, we've been reaching out to the many local businesses, organisations and community groups who supported our Summer Fete to share just how successful the event was and to thank them for their generous donations, sponsorship and support.
Many of our supporters didn't just contribute behind the scenes either – they came along on the day to see the fete in action, joined in with the games and stalls, and enjoyed the fantastic entertainment alongside our families and wider community.
Today, we're excited to share some of the wonderful feedback we've received. It's been incredible to hear how much people enjoyed the event, with several organisations already expressing an interest in supporting us again next year. Knowing that the fete didn't just raise funds for our school, but also brought people together, strengthened community connections and lifted spirits is something we're immensely proud of. 🤩
A special mention goes to Canine Partners, who have asked us to pass on their heartfelt thanks to everyone who stopped by to meet Crumpet, Frank and Rusti and learn more about the life-changing work they do. The dogs were a real highlight of the day and received so much love from our school community. Throughout the fete, Canine Partners were able to raise awareness of their charity, speak with visitors about their assistance dog partnerships and the difference they make to people's lives, as well as raise valuable funds to support their work helping people with physical disabilities gain greater independence.
Canine Partners will also be holding a Summer Fun Day at their Ashby Road centre on 1st August from 10am–3pm. We'll share more information about this event as soon as we receive it.
To everyone who donated, volunteered, attended, sponsored, performed, ran stalls, supported and cheered us on – thank you. Our grateful thanks go to all who helped make this event such a fantastic success. We couldn't have done it without you.
