We want everyone to enjoy going for a swim, but with more and more people heading to the water and tragic drowning incidents once again highlighting the potential risks, below is some key water safety advice to help keep safe around the water:
Know the Water Safety Code
🛑Stop and think; always swim in a safe place
🏊Swim in supervised, lifeguarded areas
🌊Enter the water slowly and carefully
Stay together 🤝
Stay within reach of others, and keep children in arms reach at all times
Float 🛟
If you fall in or become tired, float on your back, breathe, relax and call for help
🚨If you see someone in an emergency:
📞 Call 999 (If you're at the coast, ask for the Coastguard, if you’re inland ask for Fire and Rescue)
🗣 Tell the person in the water to float on their back, breathe, relax
🟡 Throw them something that floats

If we see someone in trouble in the water, our instinct can often be to jump in to try and save them. But entering the water yourself is dangerous, and can put you at risk of drowning too.

Some more great feedback about our wonderful teacher Nish
Also , I will take this opportunity to say thank you to Nish. He is an amazing teacher, he challenges the kids with something new every week and you can clearly see significant progress.
We are very grateful to have him as Alex’s swimming instructor.

We have now broken up for our Easter Break.
To finish we have received another lovely review which I wanted to share...
We couldn’t have asked for a better swimming instructor than Zahra. From the very first lesson, she was calm, kind, and incredibly caring, which made such a difference for Finley. Hes only 3 years old and was very nervous when he started, but Zahra created such a gentle and supportive environment that he quickly began to come out of his shell.
Week by week, we’ve seen such a big improvement—not just in his swimming skills, but also in his confidence in the water. Zahra’s patience and encouragement have really helped him feel safe and proud of himself.
We are so impressed with the progress he’s made in such a short time, and it’s all thanks to Zahra’s wonderful approach. We’re very grateful.
