We’re so proud to share that ‘Live From The Nest’ raised an incredible £1,376.51 in support of Angel Eyes NI💛

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our show, as every single ticket helped make a real difference for children and young people living with visual impairment across Northern Ireland.

We’re also so grateful to everyone who donated on the night, and to those who couldn’t make it but still sent their support from afar. Your generosity means the world, and it’s because of you that nights like this can make such an impact.

From all of us here at Songbird Studio, thank you for helping us make ‘Live From The Nest’ such a special evening and for coming along, laughing, crying, cheering and helping raise money for this fantastic cause! Goodbye for now💛

🎙️GUEST ANNOUNCEMENT🎙️

We are excited to announce our next very special guest joining us for ‘Live From The Nest’, rounding out our roster, Grace Doherty!

Grace is a 22 year old local artist who is no stranger to the Millennium Forum stage, performing in past youth shows such as The Phantom of the Opera and Legally Blonde. She has performed many times with Matthew and Rachel, and they haven’t gotten rid of her since. As a member of The Playhouse Music Theatre Company from 2021 - 2023, Grace performed in notable productions such as I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, The White Handkerchief and The Producers. In recent years Grace has made the transition from stage to screen, working with local production companies on horror projects, which she will never watch back, because she is “too feared”. Grace is in her final year of drama studies at Ulster University and is hoping to graduate in July, provided the stress hasn’t killed her by then. Lucky for her, her emotional support dog, Einstein, is on the clock 24/7. Grace is absolutely honoured to be performing alongside such a talented group of friends for a great cause.

🎙️GUEST ANNOUNCEMENT🎙️

We are ecstatic to announce our next very special guest joining us for ‘Live From The Nest’, Conor Polley!

Conor is a 24 year old singer from Derry. He has known Matthew and Rachel for over 10 years and performed with them on a number of occasions and he is delighted to be joining them on stage once again. He recently graduated from Newcastle University with a Master’s in Maths and Statistics and now lives in Belfast where he works as a statistician. He recently performed as Cowboy Bob in ‘Footloose’ with Fortwilliam Musical Society and during his time in Newcastle, he took to the stage in a production of ‘West Side Story’ in the Theatre Royal. He was also the lead singer and trombone player for Bold Big Band and Newcastle University Jazz Orchestra. Before jetting off to sunny Newcastle, he was a member of LMS, Codetta Youth Choir, the Western Senior Youth Orchestra and the Brittania Band. He is thrilled to be back on the Millennium Forum stage where his previous credits include Benny Southstreet in ‘Guys and Dolls’, Gus the Theatre Cat in ‘Cats’, playing in the pit band for ‘West Side Story’ and chorus roles in ‘Seven Brides for Seven Brothers’ and ‘All Shook Up’. Conor hopes you all enjoy the jazzy spectacle of ‘Live From The Nest’ as much as he will!

🎙️GUEST ANNOUNCEMENT🎙️

We are delighted to announce the first of our very special guests joining us for ‘Live From The Nest’, Mark McLaughlin!

Spawned out of Strabane 22 years ago, Mark grew up performing in local theatre groups. Mark made the big leap up to Derry in 2022 as part of The Playhouse Music Theatre Company. Through the Company, Mark performed in The Producers and HUME: Beyond Belief. In his professional debut, Mark played Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors at The Playhouse. Mark has also been involved in street theatre and immersive theatre, as well as performing stand-up comedy (like once), and performing as a dancer in ‘A Kind of Spark’ (BBC). As if he has nothing else to do, Mark also plays bass and sings in the band, ‘The Vandees’. In his spare time, Mark enjoys writing, particularly songwriting and writing for the stage. Mark is grateful to Songbird Studio and excited to join in performing what is set to be a great night of music (and whatever else happens!)
