An invitation to Primary 6 Parents

You are invited to attend an information evening regarding transfer arrangements for 2020.

This will be held in Limavady Grammar School on Wednesday 8th May 2019 at 6.30 pm.

This evening will be for PARENTS only.

Parents will have the opportunity to ask questions on all matters relating to the transfer process and AQE application forms can be collected or may be downloaded at www.aqe.org.uk from the 1st of May 2019.

The summer brain drain is another term for the loss of learning over the summertime. Kip McGrath explains that, "Extensive studies show that children, who are fluent readers and who love to read for fun during the summer holidays, may actually improve their literacy skills. However, children with less fluent reading skills and who never read during the long break can actually regress by two months. In mathematics, the learning loss is even greater across the board and students can lose up to 2.6 months in mathematical skills each summer."
