Today we say farewell to our exceptional Year 8 boys as they complete their Arnold House journey and take their next exciting steps towards senior school.

This year’s cohort leaves us with an outstanding set of Common Entrance results, reflecting years of hard work, determination and the support of their teachers and families.

Their success has opened doors to an impressive range of leading day and boarding schools across the country, with boys moving on to schools including Eton, Harrow, St Paul’s, Westminster, City of London, UCS, Habs, Brighton College, Dulwich, Haileybury, Marlborough, Mill Hill, St Edward’s and Wetherby.

While we are incredibly proud of their academic achievements, we are even prouder of the young men they have become. They leave Arnold House as confident, kind and well-rounded individuals, ready to embrace every opportunity that lies ahead.

Good luck, Year 8. Thank you for everything you have brought to our school community. We can’t wait to see all that you achieve in the years to come.

Once an Arnold House boy, always an Arnold House boy.

As one of their final acts of citizenship at Arnold House, our Year 8 boys spent time giving back to a place that has given them so much over the years: Canons Park.

For many of the boys, Canons Park has been at the heart of their Arnold House journey. It has been the setting for countless Games, PSHE and Drama lessons, sports fixtures, cross-country runs, outdoor learning, plays, big community events and recreational time with friends. It is a place filled with laughter, teamwork, determination and, undoubtedly, many of the happy memories they will take with them when they leave Arnold House.

To mark the end of their time with us, the boys took part in a community litter pick around the park, using litter-picking equipment kindly provided to the school by the charity Surfers Against Sewage. Looking after our shared green spaces is an important way of protecting local wildlife, preserving the beauty of the environment and ensuring that everyone can continue to enjoy these special places.

It was a fitting way for our Year 8 boys to say thank you to a place that has played such an important role in their school lives. By giving back to the community and caring for a place that has given them so many opportunities, they demonstrated the values of responsibility, respect and citizenship that we hope they will carry with them into the future.

🏃‍♂️ Final Run for the Y3-6 Run Club🏃‍♀️

What a brilliant way to finish the term! We’ve loved exploring new routes around the local area and watching everyone’s confidence, fitness, and running improve week by week.

To celebrate a fantastic term, we finished today’s run with a well-earned treat of croissants and juice! 🥐🧃

A huge well done to everyone who took part this term, we can’t wait to run with you again soon! 👏🏃‍♂️

What a fantastic performance! 🎭

Yesterday afternoon, our talented Year 2 boys took to the stage at Canons Park for their production of Goldilocks and they truly stole the show!

From confident performances and memorable songs to brilliant costumes and plenty of laughter, every boy should be incredibly proud of what they achieved. Their enthusiasm, teamwork and growing confidence shone through from beginning to end.

A huge thank you to our dedicated staff for bringing the production to life, and to all the parents and families who joined us to support our young performers.

Bravo, Year 2 👏

Every child worries. It’s a natural part of growing up.

From starting school to navigating friendships and academic challenges, children’s worries evolve as they grow. The key isn’t to remove every worry, but to help children recognise, understand and manage them before they become overwhelming.

In our latest article, Victoria McKenzie, Head of Pre-Prep, explores:
✨ How worries change as children develop
✨ Why emotional wellbeing is the foundation for learning
✨ Practical ways parents and schools can work together to build resilience
✨ How small moments of reassurance today can make a lifelong difference

At Arnold House, we believe emotional wellbeing and academic success go hand in hand.

🌟 Young Entrepreneurs in Action! 🌟

A huge congratulations to two of our talented Year 6 pupils, who have turned a brilliant idea into a thriving business! 👏

Introducing Key Plus – their very own brand, designing and creating stylish, branded key rings that have already proved to be a huge hit. From developing their brand to crafting each product and managing sales, they’ve shown incredible creativity, determination and entrepreneurial spirit.

As part of their journey, they confidently pitched their business idea to the AHPA, securing the opportunity to run their own stall at the Summer Fair. Their pitch paid off, with the stall proving to be a fantastic success and helping their business go from strength to strength.

We’re incredibly proud of everything they’ve achieved so far and can’t wait to see where their entrepreneurial journey takes them next. Well done, Key Plus!
