Rocking Robin

Rocking Robin pre-school is taking bookings for September 2023. We have places for government funded 15 and 30 hrs of free nursery education and for paid sessions at £27 (per 3 hour session) starting from 20 months of age.

Rocking Robin is holding an open morning on Friday 27th, August, at 10.00am. We have only got a few sessions left to fill, but if you'd like your little one to get ready for school and socialise for a few hours a week, we are the place for you!

Did you know that Rocking Robin offers wrap-around care alongside our pre-school places? Our lovely Jane Hillyard runs breakfast, after school and holiday clubs. For September places, please contact me at [email protected] or Jane at [email protected]. Thank you

This term our fun was cut short but we still managed to squeeze in lots of spring activities! Don't despair! Rocking Robin will hopefully be back before the end of the school year and definitely in September! If you'd like to book a place for September, get in touch soon. There aren't many left!!

We've had a truly amazing term at Rocking Robin! We've had trips to the Horniman Museum and Deen City Farm. We've had lots of fun learning about topics such as Science, Healthy Eating, Gardening and Growth. We are now taking bookings for September (we are fully booked for this coming term!). Welcome back! First day of term and grand opening of our new room, with a new home corner, construction area, garage and drawing board. The children who came today loved it!

A huge thank you to all the children who attended Rocking Robin pre-school this year and their amazing parents and carers!! The children have learned so much! I can confidently say that those who are moving up to school are completely ready; and the ones who will be coming in September are in for more super fun activities. Love you all!

Rocking Robin is still growing! So many of you lovely people have shown an interest for this term starting in April, that, unfortunately, we had to turn some people down. So for next term we will be extending! We will create a new gorgeous space with a bigger home corner, a new reading area, a new construction area, blackboards on the walls and even more fun activities on the tables! We will be able to have groups of 9 children, rather than just 6. To avoid disappointment, please book nice an early for September.

What an amazing term we've had at Rocking Robin. We looked at topics such as the sea, robots, farm and wild animals, healthy eating, plants and growth and many more. We had some great outings such as The Horniman Museum and Deen City Farm. We celebrated Chinese New Year and Easter. And we carried on with our exciting extra-curricular activities such as cooking club, Italian club, nature walks, and swimming. Thank you again to all the families for their continuous support and to all the children for diving head first into every topic. Happy Easter!

To those parents looking for nurseries that accept Wandsworth grants for 30 hours of free nursery education, I'm happy to say that at Rocking Robin we are looking into adding some fun extra-curricular activities in the afternoon to complement our current playgroup provision.

It's been a wonderful term! Spring is here and, after a very successful seeds shopping trip our vegetable garden is blooming! Thanks again to all the wonderful parents for their support and the lovely Jane Hillyard for her hard work.
The amazing Lyanne Earridge will be joining our team after Easter to help us meet demand for places. Talking about which, there are only a couple left, so if you think your little one should join our playgroup this term, don't wait too long!

What an amazing term we've had!! We loved exploring and learning about planets, dinosaurs, forests and lots more!! And after lots of festive preparations, we finished off with an spectacular party! Oh what fun we had!
