Childcare Choices is there to support you with expanded childcare options that can help give your child a great start, whilst helping you to juggle family life a little more easily.

If you’re an eligible working parent in England, you can apply for your code online on GOV.UK for:
• Up to 15 hours childcare per week for your child between 9 months until they turn 3 years old, over 38 weeks of the year.
• Up to 30 hours childcare per week for your 3- or 4-year-old, over 38 weeks of the year.
The deadline to apply for a code is 31 March to use from 1 April. You will then need to reconfirm your code every 3 months on your GOV.UK account.

Last week we celebrated Chinese new year at nursery. The children learnt about how this is a very big celebration among Chinese people but also how we can all respect eachother and join in with different cultures.

We offered valuable opportunities for all children to explore different cultures and traditions. It was lovely to see all children dress up in red and some children come in their traditional Chinese outfits to show them to their friends. They also handed out money envelopes with some chocolates coins and a fortune cookie for all children to take home. 🥠

Do you have children who are due to start School Reception in September 2025?

If they were born between 1 September 2020 – 31 August 2021 then you need to submit a Reception 2025 application by 15 January 2025 for these children.

We had an amazing graduation that we had the pleasure of celebrating with all the children and families, honoring their hard work and their nursery journey.

At Superkiddies daycare this week.

We have had a beach and ice cream parlour appear.

The children have enjoyed many aspects of learning in just one area. The area has been resourced with a paddling pool, beach backdrop , ice cream parlour, sun cream and much more.

The children enjoy joining in with the staff and other children introducing ideas and knowledge, and as a result a lot of the children are aware that ice cream melts in the heat and suncream protect your skin.

We can’t wait for the summer weather to follow.
