๐งโโ๏ธโจ "Our students have arrived safely and are now fully settled into their residential experience at the Woodlands Centre in Wales!
This marks St Paul's Academy's first residential visit in five years and represents an exciting milestone in rebuilding opportunities that enrich our curriculum beyond the classroom. We are confident that this experience will provide a strong platform for expanding residential and outdoor learning opportunities for future students.
Throughout the week, students will continue to develop their teamwork, communication and leadership skills, building upon the knowledge and experiences gained through the Year 10 Leadership Accreditation Programme delivered in partnership with Berkley Homes and Groundwork.
A huge thank you to Berkley Homes and Groundwork for helping to provide this outstanding opportunity and supporting our students on what promises to be a truly memorable experience. We must also mention Peabody, who continue to provide invaluable opportunities for our young people to thrive.
Today, students will challenge themselves through a range of exciting outdoor activities including kayaking, caving and rock climbing. We look forward to sharing more updates as they continue to demonstrate resilience, leadership and teamwork throughout their adventure in Wales." ~ Mr Davis

๐๐ "Fifteen Year 10 students took part in the St Catherineโs Catalyst Programme visit to Oxford, where they attended an engaging Maths masterclass, toured the halls of residence and the city, and took part in a Q&A session with Oxford alumni.
A special mention goes to Augustine, who absolutely excelled during the Maths taster lecture. He confidently answered challenging questions on topologyโtopics that left many of us scratching our heads! His willingness to contribute, even when he wasnโt completely sure, demonstrated real courage, confidence and intellectual curiosity when others were hesitant to respond.
Well done to all of our Year 10 students for representing the school so positively. They were outstanding ambassadors throughout the visit and demonstrated the qualities of future Russell Group applicants. We look forward to seeing where their ambitions take them next.
Thoughts from a Year 10 student on the experience ~ โThe visit made me feel more confident about applying to a Russell Group university in the future.โ
A special thank you also goes to Ms Grafton and Ms Dixon, who accompanied the students on a long day to Oxford. Their dedication and support reflect the commitment of our staff to helping every student achieve their full potential and excel in all they do." ~ Mr Davis

๐โจ "A group of our Year 10 students recently attended the Colfe's Independent School A-Level Masterclasses, having been selected for their high prior attainment at Key Stage 2 and continued academic excellence throughout Key Stage 4. The students participated in a range of challenging and engaging sessions, including 3D Design, Ancient Civilisations, Further Mathematics, Economics and Politics.
Throughout the day, our students excelled, confidently contributing alongside peers from other schools and demonstrating the ambition, resilience and academic curiosity that characterise our school community.
Following the masterclasses, students attended the Leathersellers' Scholarship Evening, where they were welcomed by former student and scholarship recipient Victoria. An inspiring role model, Victoria shared her experiences and offered valuable insights into the opportunities available through the scholarship programme, as well as her journey to success.
Students also heard from the Headmaster about the application process and the exceptional support provided to successful scholars. Experiences such as these encourage our young people to aim high, broaden their horizons and explore the exciting opportunities available to them in the future. We are incredibly proud of how our students represented the school throughout the day." ~ Mr Davis
