We've grown Carrots! 🥕🥕

It has been so exciting to watch our plants grow but the best part was discovering actual carrots! The children really enjoyed uncovering them themselves and they then learnt the importance of washing all of our fruit and vegetables thoroughly before we eat them. And our carrots were the most tasty carrots we'd ever tried!

Welcome to Beats Club 🎵🎼

We are so excited to be rolling out our new music club at Buttercups! We have been training team members to deliver these specially formulated lessons, introducing our little learners to simple music notation and teaching them to feel what they sound like. 🎉Join us for our Open Day! 🎉🎈

We are inviting parents with under 4 year olds in the Acton area to come along and see our new Forest School area🌲🪴 and Montessori Classroom. The event is completely FREE and no need to book. There will be fun activities for the children to take part in and our team on hand to answer any questions.
When: Saturday 26th September
Time: 10am - 12pm
Where: Buttercups Old Oak Road, Acton W3 7HN.

Please tell any friends, particularly if they are looking for a nursery in the area.

Bubble Science Fun! 🫧🔬

Today our little scientists had so much fun exploring bubbles! Using a large hoop, we created a giant bubble around the children and watched with excitement as it grew bigger and bigger before going POP! 🤩🫧 It was a wonderful opportunity to explore science through hands-on play, encouraging curiosity, observation and lots of smiles along the way. Our children were fascinated watching the giant bubble form around them! 💙✨

Why does our sensory tray contain food? 🍌🫘

Sensory food activities in Early Years, particularly in under 2s, foster a wonderful curiosity about different foodstuffs. Because children are free to simply play with food, there is much less pressure to try them. By introducing them in a playful environment children build positive relationships with food and feel free to explore taste, touch, sight, smell, and sound - all at their own pace.

Being introduced to nutrition in Early Years significantly impacts lifelong health, leading to children who make healthy choices in later life 😃

What can we do in Forest School? 🌿🐝

Our Syon Park Forest School area has had a make-over with lots more activities for the children to explore! Water cascades to investigate the flow of water, ramps to build our physical coordination and our campsite area where we congregate and share our learning.
