🎭 WEST END MUSICAL MASTERCLASS WITH CARLA DIXON-HERNANDEZ! 🎭

We’re delighted to welcome Carla Dixon-Hernandez to PQA Richmond for two very special Musical Theatre Masterclasses! ⭐️

Carla Dixon-Hernandez made her professional and West End debut as Alice in Matilda the Musical at just 11 years old, before going on to perform in the West End revival of Annie.

She then originated the role of Lydia Hillard in Mrs. Doubtfire the Musical, performing the role in both Manchester and the West End, and was nominated for a Stage Debut Award for her performance.

Her recent credits include Mona in Mona Loser at Birmingham Hippodrome and Portia in the UK premiere of Something Rotten! at Manchester Opera House. She has also appeared on screen in Genius for Hulu/Disney+ and the feature film Degenerates.

Carla brings a wealth of experience across theatre, musical theatre and screen, and we’re looking forward to our students getting the opportunity to work with her, hear about her experiences and learn from her approach to the industry.

At PQA Richmond, our students are fortunate to be taught by a fantastic team of working industry professionals, and we’re always excited to bring in new voices, experiences and perspectives for them to learn from.

What an incredible day filled with outstanding performances, beautiful costumes, fantastic makeup, enchanting live flute music and the unique magic of outdoor theatre.

Our students should be so proud of themselves. They threw themselves into every moment, brought the story to life and captivated the audience with confidence, creativity and heart. 💚

An academic year comes to an end at PQA Richmond, and what another absolutely sensational year it’s been! ✨

Two shows, six casts, The Wonderful Panto of Oz at The ACT Theatre, The Wind in the Willows at Strawberry Hill House & Garden, plus a full house of Distinction grades in our Trinity exams!

We’ve also grown massively, opening our Wednesday academy back in September — which is now completely full with its own waiting list! 🙌

A huge thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey this year. Our amazing students, staff, parents and supporters — we genuinely couldn’t do it without you.

Here’s to the next chapter… a brand new musical awaits, and we’re returning to The Richmond Theatre!

It's the Sat PM POWS! ❤️

Some students are with us for a term, some for a few years, and every now and then someone reaches the end of a journey that has spanned almost their entire childhood.

Today we said goodbye to one of our long-standing students Brooke as she finished her final day at PQA before moving on to the next exciting chapter. It's always a bittersweet moment watching someone you've seen grow from a young child into a confident young adult.

One thing I always tell our students is that talent is only part of the story. Kindness, resilience, hard work, turning up week after week and supporting those around you are the qualities that really matter, and it's a privilege to see those qualities develop over the years.

To every student who has ever walked through our doors—whether you've been with us for one year or ten—thank you for letting us be part of your journey. Seeing you grow in confidence, make lifelong friendships and discover what you're capable of is why we do what we do.

Good luck to everyone taking their next steps, whatever they may be. Once PQA, always PQA. ❤️🎭
