We were delighted to host our annual Egypt Annual School Leaders’ Conference 2024 in Cairo! It was a fantastic opportunity for school leaders to network and meet the local Pearson team.

The conference was attended by our Vice President for International Sales and Marketing, Emma Whale, and covered a variety of topics. Including Pearson Edexcel updates, results from the summer series and modular International GCSE by our MENAPT Regional Director Kathryn Booth, English, Maths and Science at Key Stage 3, ActiveLearn and International GCSE Teaching Hub by Yasmine Anis, and a great session on the Support Services by Meran Mansour, Mark Makram and Aya Mohsen.

Thank you to everybody who attended and we continue to support our schools for more success throughout 2025!

We were delighted to host the final Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards ceremony of the year in Yangon, Myanmar! At the ceremony we handed out a total of 74 awards to 58 students from 25 different schools. In addition we also recognised the achievement of 651 High Achiever Awards recipients from 64 different schools. At the same time we also have the opportunity to celebrate the fantastic finalist of our International School Teacher of the Year - Asia from Tr. Thuzar Education Center.

The ceremony was made more memorable with the amazing performances from the student of Helix International School as well as student speech from Hinthar Education. A huge appreciation to our partners British Council Myanmar and iQuals Myanmar who supported us as well to ensure the ceremony was a success.

An honour for Meran Mansour to present our OPLA awards to the school management of the British International School of Casablanca, as well as a few students from Ecole Montessori Casablanca and London Academy Rabat in Morocco for their amazing achievements.

In November we have the privilege of recognising the achievement of our Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards students in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia!

With more than 1000 guests over 4 ceremonies, we celebrated 53 student achievers from 9 schools in Singapore, 70 student achievers from 21 schools in Malaysia, 69 students from 19 schools in Thailand and 33 students from 9 schools in Indonesia.

A massive thank you to talented student performers from Epsom College in Malaysia, Dover Court International School, Bangkok Prep and Saint John's Catholic School, who made our ceremonies more memorable. Not forgetting the amazing student emcees from Dover Court International School, MAZ International School, Krutoo Homeschool who masterfully manage the entire ceremony at their respective countries.

The conference covered a variety of topics, including Pearson Edexcel updates, results from the summer series and modular International GCSE by our MENAPT Regional Director Kathryn Booth, great sessions on Pearson International Primary Science and Inspire Computing by the Head of Courseware, Mohammad Hasan, and an update on the International Teachers Awards by our Senior Regional Development Manager, Meran Mansour.

We would like to thank the British Council Jordan team, for their support and our delegates who attended. We will continue to support our schools for continued success in 2025!

Over 150 school leaders from international schools, private schools, and early years centres joined us for this inspiring event.

A key highlight was the launch of the Pearson Early Years Curriculum, designed to provide young learners with a strong foundation for future success. The forum also fostered collaboration and insights, reaffirming our commitment to supporting schools with innovative resources.

The conference covered a variety of topics, including Pearson Edexcel updates, results from the summer series and modular International GCSE by our MENAPT Regional Director Kathryn Booth, Maths and Science at Key Stage 3 with ActiveLearn by Mark Whittaker, a panel discussion on the future of assessment moderated by our Senior Regional Development Manager, Adam Jama and sessions on Teaching Hubs by our Senior Regional Development Manager, Chloe O’Malley and Inspire Computing by the Head of Courseware, Mohammad Hasan.
