Year 2 loved visiting the Great Broad Walk Borders and the Beehive at Kew Gardens. We spotted a variety of plants, flowers and trees, making key links to our Science learning on plants and growth. 🌿🌺🌳

Year 1: Today in Maths, we explored the value of coins! Using 1p, 2p, 5p and 10p coins, the children counted, exchanged and compared values while developing their understanding of money.

Year 1: Today in D&T, we practised food preparation skills by safely cutting fruit using a table knife and fork, and using a juicer to extract juice. The children showed great enthusiasm and confidence throughout the lesson. Well done, Year 1!

Year 2: Our pupils have had a great day exploring the grounds of Kew Gardens. We braved the heat of the Palm House and identified many different tropical trees and plants from all over the world🌴🌳🌷.

Year 2: We have arrived at Kew Gardens and started our workshop all about 'Plants and Growth' 🔍🌱

Year 3 &4 Cookery club: Children enjoyed making colourful fruit kebabs with seasonal and delicious fruits while working together in a group and being safe using the skewers.

Year 5 DT: This afternoon we have enjoyed blind taste testing different Bolognese sauces! We had to consider and evaluate the flavour and texture of Dolmio and Sainsbury's sauces and see which we preferred…😋

Year 1: Today in Science we were learning about common garden plants. We went on our own hunt around the school and were able to find rosemary, lavender and even roses! We loved discovering the nature that surrounds us in our school grounds!🌿🌸

KS2 Playground: Some lovely weather today ☀️ This means we have a range of sports being played at lunchtime on the field! ⚽️🏏

In Reading, Year 5 had lots of fun using role play to understand the storyline and the actions of the characters! 📚
