Cherry class was actively engaged in gymnastics this week and have learnt different gymnastic skills. They learnt how to be flexible to create a variety of forms portraying different fruits and animals.

Writing phase 2 tricky words has been easy for reception children. They used their phonics skills to write the words from memory. They use resilience and mindset character skills to persevere. Well done, Ash class!

The EYFS children were busily subitising (recognising numbers of 5 things without counting). Next, they matched the numerals to the correct number of objects and put 3 groups of things into the correct order.

This week in Year 1 we had an amazing PE lesson with Coach
Keiran ⭐.
We learnt all about 'agility' and worked as teams to complete our games.

The reception children had a week full of fun and enjoyment. They settled in well, showing perseverance and collaboration. Well done, EYFS!

In EYFS and Year 1 we have been completing our DT outcome to display within our school. In EYFS we have been tasting,designing and making biscuits. In Year 1 they have been tasting different fruits, designing a fruit salad and making it t take home.

Yesterday at Forest we celebrated the Queen's Jubilee!
We all made flags and Ash class also made lovely hats to wear in our Jubilee Parade!👍
We gathered with our friends and family to have delicious cakes🍰 and celebrate the Queen's special 70th year on the throne!😀

In Reception we have been identifying odd and even numbers using Numicon. We noticed a pattern when colouring the odd and even numbers too!

Today in Ash class we have been discussing/exploring the
'Zones of Regulation'.
We identified different emotions we feel at different times of the day and discussed how emotions/feelings change our mood.
