Last night... Planning the in person event...
🌿 Sundays at Six — finding “your people”
Thank you to everyone who joined this week.
We explored a simple question together:
What makes a group feel like “your people”?
The answers weren’t complicated, but they were clear.
It’s not just about content.
It’s about how you feel in the room.
A few things stood out:
• being able to show up as yourself, without pretending
• feeling part of something, not just watching from the side
• real conversations, where people think out loud and learn in the moment
• energy, movement, and a sense of fun
• being around people who naturally raise your standards
• hearing real examples, not just ideas
There was also something quieter that came through.
The value of having a space where you can share, reflect, and be heard.
Not perfectly. Just honestly.
That’s when things start to shift.
What this made clear is that YES Group isn’t really about being taught.
It’s about being in the right environment long enough for things to land.
Which is exactly what we’re building towards with the next in-person event.
👉 May 16 is about creating a room where you walk in and think, “I’ve found my people.”
Not a seminar. Not a performance.
A space for connection, contribution, and real conversation.
If something from this stayed with you, feel free to add it below:
• What makes a group feel right for you?
• When have you felt most like yourself in a room?
• What would make you walk into a space and think “this is my place”?
We’ll keep shaping this together between now and the 16th.

Our mission is to inspire, empower & support people in pursuing their personal growth and in making a positive difference.
The last Wednesday of the month was synonymous with world class personal development speakers for 3 decades until Covid wiped us out our last event was https://www.facebook.com/572311941/posts/10158214318821942/?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v
If you are seeking connection with a peer group we still have smaller live events and a weekly zoom Sunday evenings. Comment YES below to find out more.
Remember the days when you used to go to workshops every weekend? Back before Covid, which wiped us out, we were looking forward to hosting the next big speaker coming to town. We miss those days and without momentum and full time team it's not viable to relaunch at the moment.
However we are planning a Saturday in September and if you would like to find out more just like this post and we will make sure to let you know more about the day. Time to invest in your personal development, join others on a similar journey, re-commit to standards and principles, reconnect with things you've learnt and come away refreshed, energised. More to follow.
Sad to learn of the loss of Rohan Weerasinghe 💔 he was an inspiration, a vibrant charismatic speaker with great warmth and commitment to make a difference in others lives. I understood he faught a long hard battle with illness RIP Ro.
We are back on Sundays reaching out to you in your home for personal development hour or two. Join us next Sunday evening with Chief Energy Officer Luke Reid facilitating.
Happy birthday YES Group!
31 years and counting.
We are a bit underground these days back to our origins and like a Phoenix we will rise up. For now be assured we are a community and you are welcome to come back for inspiration and support. We meet up in person every month or so and online regularly. If you know the Discord platform you can find us very actively on there. We remain a welcoming friendly group of people who share a passion for personal development and love to support each other.
