Beginning his training in 1989 at the College of Stress Management in Derby, he trained in hypnotherapy and stress management.

The subsequent two-year training period laid the foundation for Robert's multifaceted expertise in hypnotherapy, NLP, CBT, stress management, and EMDR. By the end of 1991, he transitioned to a full-time role as a qualified personal development consultant, operating under his own trading name.

Robert's commitment to continuous improvement became evident as he undertook additional certified courses, notably in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), demonstrating his dedication to advancing his skills to better assist his clients.

The mid-1990s marked a new chapter in Robert's career, where he not only saw clients for personal wellbeing but also shared his knowledge as a lecturer in hypnotherapy, NLP, CBT, stress management, and EMDR. His work with celebrity clients at The Hale Clinic in London propelled him into the media, providing a platform to discuss and showcase his therapeutic approaches.

Under the umbrella of TAG Mind Skills, Robert also addresses the specific needs of corporate organizations, providing bespoke programs on motivation, goal setting, presentation skills, team building, and business development. His impact extends internationally, with significant periods spent in Malaysia and Jordan, offering services both in person and online.

With over 30 years of experience, Robert is passionate not only about helping those who are in therapy, but also helping train those who want to become therapists themselves.
