Today is International Women’s Day.

Lua Cooper, our Campus Director in London, had a chance to chat with Elena, one of our current students, about her experience joining The Iron Yard and being a woman pursuing a career in technology.

Elena was awarded our Diversity Scholarship for her iOS Engineering course. Here’s what she had to say:

"The Iron Yard reflects what tech should be all about: community and team spirit, hard work and lot of fun but even more importantly diversity and inclusion with clear benefits around equal opportunities and treatments. Just a sneak peek of what my life is going go be!"

We are privileged to be part of Elena’s journey and support other women through our Diversity Scholarship and partnerships with organizations like Girl Develop It.

If you are interesting in learning to Code and want to apply for one of our scholarships, come join The Iron Yard and Elena here: https://www.theironyard.com/locations/london.html
