Comprising a language centre, a multi-media library, 2 cinemas, Ciné Lumière and Ciné Lumière II, it welcomes thousands of people each year.

Watch Jodie Foster return to French Cinema after 20 years! 🇫🇷📽️

Ciné Lumière is screening previews on 11 & 20, and welcoming director Rebecca Zlotowski on 24 June for a Q&A before its national release on 26 June.

A Private Life follows psychiatrist Lilian Steiner (Jodie Foster), who begins to suspect murder after the sudden death of a patient. She embarks on an investigation across France that blends the taut suspense of a thriller with a sharp reflection on psychoanalysis today.

Director Rebecca Zlotowski (Grand Central, An Easy Girl) delivers a gripping new vision of French cinema, with Jodie Foster joined by a stellar cast including Virginie Efira, Vincent Lacoste, and Daniel Auteuil.

The French Institute is saddened to learn of the passing of French-Iranian graphic novelist and filmmaker Marjane Satrapi.

To pay tribute to such an inspiring artist and woman, who turned her childhood memories into a universal tale and act of freedom, we will be screening Persepolis at Ciné Lumière from 27 June.
