We are delighted to rank highly in The Telegraph best value private schools this week.
“For many parents, the value of independent schools goes beyond academic achievements; they want a well-rounded experience for their children, including opportunities in sport, performing arts and music.
This is why a school like James Allen’s Girls’ School in London, which has an excellent pedigree, is able to perform well in the league table. The school has nine of the 11 facilities accounted for in The Telegraph’s score.”

We are thrilled to have been commended in the Independent Girls’ School of the Year category at the Independent School of the Year Awards 2026 🎉
For nearly 300 years, JAGS has been proud to put girls first, championing an education that empowers young women to thrive, lead and make a difference. At a time when this work remains as important as ever, we’re proud to continue supporting girls to find their voice and shape the world around them.
A huge thank you to our students, staff, families and wider community whose hard work, dedication and contributions are recognised with this commendation.

It’s always a delight when the whole of JAGS, from Reception to Year 12, come together for our annual Founder’s Assembly. As well as our Founder’s Prayer, we enjoyed music from across the school and also learnt what the expected bedtimes for JAGS pupils were 101 years ago!
We look forward to welcoming all our students and their families to our Founder’s Day celebrations tomorrow.

And we were blown away by the entries across the Senior School showing originality and keen observational skills.
