Al Mizan and LEA sports day!

We recently had our annual sports day, all the children took part and had a brilliant time participating in different sport activities

The year 7s spent two nights at Gilwell park where they did archery, raft building, built a fire, played football, played many different games and of course kept up with their Qur’an recitation!

Our schools are raising funds which will be be donated to Islamic Relief who are on the ground distributing blankets, sheets and mattresses that they have in stock – but these will run out soon and they need more as soon as possible.

People urgently need tents, food parcels and blankets. Hospitals are inundated with injured people so they are providing them with medicine and other supplies.

"Anyone who relieves a hardship for a believer in this world, Allah will relieve one of his hardships on the Day of Resurrection. Anyone who makes things easy for a hard-pressed person, Allah will make things easy for him in this world and in the Hereafter."

Huffaz Graduation Ceremony 2023

A statement from our Head boy Intisaar.

"The huffaz graduation was a wonderful opportunity for us, as Muslims, to appreciate the honourable young huffaz who had put unparalleled amounts of time and efforts to achieve one of the greatest accomplishments that a Muslim can achieve, which is memorising the entire Qur'an for the sake of Allah. 

Our school also recognised the peformance of students within various subjects in the curriculum and rewarded those who are excelling, which pushes us to do more and strive to do the best within our abilities.

Our huffaz delivered beautiful and heart-touching recititations as they finished the first part of their Hifz journey and now look to retain it for the rest of their lives. 

From speeches from our respected teachers/governors and alumni, such as Muadh to beautiful recitations from our students and powerful reminders from Sheikh Abdul Qayum and Sheikh Abu Hussain, about why we should strive to keep the Qur'an close to us, it was an enlightening experience, from which many lessons could be learnt.

Perhaps the most important of which is keeping the Qur'an within our hearts, which will surely bring us barakah within this life and the next, as it was narrated that Abu Umamah Al-Baahili said: "I heard the messenger of Allah(peace and blessings be upon Him) say, 'Recite the Qur'an, for it will come on the Day of Resurrection to intercede for its companions.'
On a day that people will be going mad out of fear of their fate, the Qur'an will be a source of comfort for its companion as it is truly a divine book, the word of Allah and the greatest book of all."

We have held assemblies to highlight the significance of the ten days of Dhu'l Hijja leading up to Eid and beyond.

Year 3 to Year 6 had a thrilling day out at Chessington World of Adventures. It was a brilliant day out and a wonderful end of year trip to a busy year.

The children enjoyed learning the letters of the sign language.

Outdoor play at Al Mizan, it is not just about the physical aspect of their health.

Active play during breaks and lunchtime are also helping children's mental health.

Residential trips enable our pupils to enjoy experiences that cannot be replicated in the classroom environment.

Students at Al Mizan have been sharing their love of books by dressing up as a character from a book of their choice with the main aim to encourage them to explore the pleasure of books and reading 📚

The 11th Annual Huffaz Graduation Ceremony took place in the honour of the graduate Huffaz students from Al Mizan and LEA.

Congratulations to all the students in completing the memorisation of the Qur'an.

Year 5 went on a school trip to the British Museum, they learnt about ancient civilisations.
