We are thrilled to share some fantastic news with you! Kumon Canada Water has once again secured a spot in the top 30 Kumon centres in Europe and Africa for having the most advanced students. This remarkable accomplishment fills us with pride in our exceptional students and their families. Our team of Kumon assistants and instructor Snezha are dedicated to supporting each child in overcoming challenges and achieving their full potential. We are grateful for the commitment to learning demonstrated by everyone and look forward to continuing to work together towards even greater success.

What a fantastic day it was at our ASHR ceremony last Saturday!
We were so excited to have the Mayor of Southwark, Councillor Michael Situ, join us in celebrating the incredible accomplishments of the Class of 2023.
A big thank you to all the families who attended. We hope all students feel super proud of their achievements and are motivated to keep aiming high!

Congratulations to Anirudh, who became our youngest completer of the Kumon English programme!
"I would like to thank my parents and Snezha for the help they gave me on this journey. Kumon has always been an important aspect in my life and will continue to be so for many years. Finishing the English programme is a great honour, and I hope to do so with the maths in due time." - he said.

'Being the parent of a young child with autism means not knowing what you can expect for the future. Finding out that Charlie could walk was a gift – we couldn't assume that. Another gift was finding out that he could read – we couldn't assume that. There are so many milestones in a child's life and we couldn't assume he would reach any, until he did. Our intentions of bringing Charlie to Kumon Canada Water was simple – see if it would help him sitting down, being able to focus a little bit longer. We now know that he has an extraordinary talent for maths, but would we have known if it hadn't been for Kumon? Would we have been raising our expectations time and time again if we hadn't seen him blossom under Snezha's care and commitment, insisting on a daily routine, no matter what? Now our expectations have changed. Are we ambitious enough? Are we giving him enough opportunities? At every turn, he proves to us that he can amaze us. And Kumon Canada Water brought that turning point in our lives.'

Congratulations to Charlie, who completed level J of the Kumon maths programme! Listen to his story:
'My story begins with autism. Quite a few well-known people today have autism, like Elon Musk or Greta Thunberg. But this story of autism is unique for each individual and mine was that I could not sit down because I was constantly distracted and could not focus for long hours. For Kumon, I had to sit down and concentrate. It was hard in the beginning and I was a bit disruptive, but with Snezhana’s help, soon I got motivated by medals, certificates and especially learning something new almost every day.
Then I left my hometown, Canada Water and carried on my Kumon journey at other centres, which despite being good, Canada Water Study Centre was indisputably number one.
The Canada Water Centre has many advanced learners who I was looking up to and they inspired me to work even harder. I was overjoyed that I could join the Canada Water Centre once again online. My dreams are in the millions, including completing the Kumon Maths Programme and being able to hand the certificates to all the students in the award ceremony in a few years’ time.'

Our Kumon maths and English programmes completer Kibilly joined us for the celebration on Saturday.
'It was an honour to be at the award ceremony giving Kumon students their rewards. You have all worked very hard! Well done!' - he said.

We presented students who attend the Kumon CW and work at an advanced level for their age with their ASHR certificates yesterday. After more than two years, it was incredible to meet some online students again. Thank you very much to everyone who attended, and well done for the fantastic job you do day in and day out. We are so proud of your achievements!
