ππWorld Cup Fun at Nursery! ππ
Our little football stars have been having a fantastic time taking part in a variety of World Cup-themed activities this week!
The children enjoyed getting creative by decorating their own footballs and designing colourful team T-shirts, exploring different colours, patterns and designs while expressing their imagination.π¨π
We also put our football skills to the test with some exciting penalty shoot-outs! The children showed great determination, coordination and teamwork as they practised kicking the ball into the goals and cheered on their friends. β½π₯

This week the children have been learning all about 'Healthy Eating'. They openly discussed the different types of healthy foods and their benefits. Some of the children even took a trip to their local supermarket to pick out some healthy foods of their choice. The children engaged in this weeks cooking activity, where they used vegetables to independently make their own wraps!
The children have also created their own interpretations of some of their favourite healthy snacks, such as Watermelons! They engaged in some fruit and veg paint stamping and even created their own fruit salad collages.

Today the children went to the woodlands on a bird hunt to create some observational drawings.
They was able to take turns to use the binoculars to search in the sky for different birds, using these to take a closer look.
They then used this image to create their own observational drawings of what they have seen, using descriptive language such as one child said "I saw a really big bird, maybe it was an Eagle, they are really big!".

There's a dinosaur, There's a dinosaur...
Today Babies and Teenies took a trip into the woodlands on the hunt to find the hidden dinosaurs, using their magnifying glasses to take a closer look. The children were able to look high and low and find the hidden dinosaurs, showing great emotions once found.
The children were able to make dinosaur like sounds such as "Raaaaw!" and "Stomp", as they imitated these actions too!

To celebrate Eid we have been taking part in a range of activities.
In Pre-school we have been talking about the meaning behind Eid and why people celebrate it and also have been talking about different ways people celebrate Eid.
The children were able to have open discussions with the carers and each other whilst looking at different pictures of outfits and also exploring a range of different materials where they spoke about how they feel and how they look.
The children also explored henna pictures where they looked at patterns and then create their own, as well as creating our own moon and star pictures whilst using a range of paints and craft materials.

On Friday our preschool were invited over to Alfred Salter Primary School to take a look at their wonderful art exhibition which they created. Each class was given a different theme and had to work together to create a piece of art.
The children have a fantastic time, exploring all the wonderful artwork and were very inquisitive asking many questions.
Thank you Alfred Salter for the experience!
