Our Pre-Prep children have begun their exciting Sunflower Challenge.

Each child planted their very own sunflower seed, learning how to care for it as it begins to grow. Sunflowers were chosen as a symbol of positivity, growth, and individuality. Just like our children, every sunflower will grow in its own unique way. Some may be taller, some brighter, but all are equally special. As sunflowers turn towards the light, they remind us of hope, happiness, and the importance of nurturing every child to shine.

The sunflowers will stay indoors for the next few weeks before moving outside once they are strong enough. We are looking forward to seeing how they flourish over time.

To celebrate British Science Week, Pre-Prep welcomed some very special guests: our 'Living Eggs.' We’ve turned into mini-scientists, practicing the art of patient observation as we watched the first cracks appear and the chicks finally emerge. Beyond the biology, this experience perfectly mirrored Neurodiversity Week; the children noticed that while some chicks were the first to hatch and others took their time, each one was unique, healthy, and a vital part of the flock.

Our 'Rosemead Full of Voices' Book Week was a spectacular celebration of storytelling, transporting Rosemead from the clever webs of Anansi in Nursery and the timeless Aesop’s Fables in Reception to the rich Irish and Nordic folk traditions in Key Stage 1. We welcomed Linda Lawrence with her tales from The Sweet Planet, while Annemarie Anang brought I Am Nefertiti to life through a vibrant fusion of music and movement. Following a dazzling World Book Day costume parade, the week culminated in an immersive puppetry workshop with Big Foot Arts Education, where children explored the magic of object manipulation. It has been a joy to see the children find their own voices through this diverse tapestry of literature and performance.

Well done to all of our cross country runners who competed in the ISA Regional Cross Country event at Radnor House. Special mention to our U11 boys team for coming first against 15 other schools, winning a gold medal! Also special congratulations to Lewie, Sammy, Otis and Louis for qualifying for the National Finals!
