The tool uniquely allows educators to store hidden activities or actions and supports neurodiverse learners. My background is software architecture, working full time for a successful company. I started this free tool in my spare time, when I saw my children trying to decide something by pulling bits of paper out of a box. I decided to make a completely random name generator "wheel spinner" tool to do this all digitally in a fun and appealing way, to help users make decisions fairly - and aimed it at education as a free classroom "wheel of names" tool. I discovered my free classroom tool also had a lot of scope in other areas of life too, in the workplace too by allowing engaging work presentations, team-building events as well as a really successful contact center gamification wheel where agents can be rewarded based on performance (the wheel can be displayed on a full screen wallboard, embedded in an external website), as well as custom bespoke games amongst family and friends. I also discovered my wheel spinner had a very noticable calming effect on my daughter who is diagnosed with autism, just by chance, when I noticed she was very anxious before school one morning and she tried one of my test wheels and it was an almost instant change in her - her anxiety disappeared and she was focused in on the wheel spinning motion and sounds, entering our pet cats names into the wheel and finding it really funny when the wheel read out loud the cat names. I decided to go on and make a "shark facts wheel" as she loves sharks (one of her special interests) and this wheel is available on my website to use and share along with many other ready made wheels on the site, all completely free, and all can be shared with friends and colleagues.
