Wishing our Dawmouse parents some tranquility this weekend too πβ€οΈ
βIf the child is allowed to use his spontaneous activity in a tranquil environment without interference or unasked for help, he is indeed engaged in a most important work: he is building the man he will one day beβ β¨

βWhilst all the organs of the body are constructed in the embryonic period, in the period after birth there is another embryonic period; It is during this period that the personality of man is constructed.β

Maths buddies π
Collaboration is often entirely child-led at Dawmouse. Pupils naturally gravitate towards each other to work on activities, tasks or games. Most common, we see older pupils wanting to teach their younger peers, reinforcing their own knowledge, while building leadership, communication skills, and delighting us as they enthusiastically take on the role of teacher βΊοΈ

Our amazing Miss Maya π
She achieved Level 4 Montessori Diploma from the International Montessori Centre in London. One of her favourite parts of teaching is helping children thrive, and watching them grow on their learning journeys β¨
Weβre so lucky to have in our team, the brilliant, passionate, dedicated, and truly caring, Miss Maya.

Observation is our scientific method π
By stepping back we as teachers can shed our preconceived notions, encourage independence, thoughtfully adapt their environment, track their development and discover each of our young childrenβs genuine interests, needs and personalities!

Our wonderful Miss Joanne π
One of the things we love most about Montessori education is the freedom within a nurturing environment, to follow the childβs interests and curiosities. If a pupil shows interest in learning to read, we gently nurture that interestβ¦

Weβre so grateful to have Miss Joanne, such a caring, dedicated teacher, inspiring our children every day.
