12 Universities have achieved Fairtrade status in nationwide Fairtrade University and College Award | Fairtrade Foundation Higher education institutions in England and Scotland were notified this week that they have achieved Fairtrade University status.

LCExchange together with International Mobility at Middlesex University have been organising and coordinating an online Italian course for MDX students and it has become a real success! 💪🏼

Below you can see our facilitators Phoebe and Maicò from IIS M. Ciliberto - A. Lucifero Institute in Crotone, Italy whose professionalism and positive attitude made this possible! 👏🏼👏🏼

Eccellenze all’Istituto Tecnico Commerciale A. LUCIFERO.

Maico’ e Phoebe GIORDANO, sorelle gemelle, frequentano la 4^A dell’Istituto Tecnico Commerciale A. LUCIFERO e hanno svolto un percorso di PCTO - Percorsi per le Competenze Trasversali e l’Orientamento - di 40 ore presso la prestigiosissima Università Middlesex University di LONDRA. L’Università londinese ha organizzato corsi online gratuiti per i propri studenti di lingua italiana e Maico’ e Phoebe hanno insegnato italiano in quattro classi di livello A1, per due ore settimanali, a circa quaranta studenti collegati da diversi Stati del mondo. Le lezioni di grammatica e lessico sono state svolte in lingua italiana in aggiunta ad attività ludiche realizzate con lo scopo di rendere più facile e gradevole l’apprendimento. “E’ stata un’esperienza formativa ed entusiasmante che consigliamo a chiunque venisse offerta la possibilità”, sono queste le dichiarazione delle sorelle GIORDANO. Le studentesse dell’ITC LUCIFERO, hanno ricevuto un grandissimo consenso per la loro preparazione, per lo zelo e soprattutto per le molteplici attività didattiche che hanno saputo sapientemente organizzare e hanno ricevuto i complimenti della Senior Academic Developer dott.ssa Luiza DANTAS, la quale testualmente scrive: “They are very professional and likable and students really like to work with them” - Sono molto professionali e piacevoli e agli studenti piace lavorare con loro. Considerato il successo e l’entusiasmo degli studenti dell’Università, il corso di italiano livello A1 e A2 è stato prolungato per altre sei settimane.

in June 2020, Middlesex University London achieved a three star Fairtrade University and College Award – the highest level of Fairtrade Award?! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
It means that we’re a Fairtrade awarded university with a 3 star award status, 1 of only 2 across the UK with 3 star status!

This year Fairtrade is coming: 22nd Feb - 7th March👋 We will soon share with you programme of Fairtrade event activities so stay tuned 🎉
