I’ve always found it difficult to find clothes that fitted me. I was blessed with a large bust, but I certainly didn’t feel this way when shopping- I thought my body was wrong. It didn’t fit the clothes properly. Regular thoughts in my head- ‘If only my b***s could be that bit smaller’, ‘Maybe I can just squeeeeeze in this top… this dress… this bra… this jacket’, ‘I need to start saving for a breast reduction’, ‘I’ll make do, as what else can I do?’ So make do I did, for a long time.

But then came an opportunity for me to learn pattern cutting. And it was only then I realised that it wasn’t me that was the problem. I learnt that companies who sell mass produced clothes, need to cater for as many people as possible, so they decide on a set of measurements they think will cover the most people. And many people will ‘fit’ into these clothes, but the item won’t sit right… it rides up… it’s to tight here, but too baggy there… and we are left thinking ‘What’s wrong with me?! Why don’t I fit?!’ See the rest in the comments! 👇👇👇
