We’re delighted to share the latest version of ‘Our Class’ — a KS2 lesson pack to help teach pupils about friendship.

Co-developed by Dr Rachel Maunder (University of Northampton) and Professor Claire Monks (University of Greenwich), 'Our Class' is underpinned by over a decade of research into children's friendships, peer relationships, wellbeing, and social inclusion.

‘Our Class’ centres around the fictitious Bankwell Primary School. Each lesson is based on an illustrated story featuring a character from the school who has a friendship challenge.

For us, and many of the teachers we work with, live training remains one of the most effective bridges for translating policy into practice.

And last year was one of our busiest on record for CPD, with updated RSHE statutory guidance driving demand across schools in England to upskill PSHE leads and wider staff teams ahead of the September 2026 deadline.

We worked in partnership with hundreds of schools and councils up and down the country — delivering hands-on, practical CPD as part of our wider mission to raise national standards for both PSHE education and statutory RSHE.

With the new statutory RSHE guidance in force from September, here’s our latest rundown of what’s available now — and what will be ready in time for autumn term — to ensure you and your school enjoy successful implementation.

Of course, there’s a whole summer break before then, and our team will be available up until the end of term and during the summer months should you need any guidance.

We developed our 'Foundations for Wellbeing' mental health curriculum for primary schools with with academics, to translate and apply top-level psychological research.

In our latest blog post, we take a look at one of the core topics from Foundations for Wellbeing — managing distractions — and go behind the scenes to explore how this approach worked in practice during the development of the curriculum.

📢 We’re delighted to award our Quality Mark to CEOP Education's updated ‘Jesse & Friends' online safety education pack, which aims equip 4-7 year olds with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to help them stay safe from sexual abuse and other risks they may encounter online.

📢 Our latest KS3-4 lesson pack on challenging misogyny is available to download for free.

Developed with the support of academics from the University of York and funding from the European Research Council, the lessons are underpinned by academic research into online safety, social learning, attitude change and prejudice reduction — and recent work investigating how the manosphere is affecting children and teachers’ experiences in schools.

These materials fully align with new statutory RSHE guidance in force from September (which places much stronger emphasis on misogyny) and form part of our support package to get schools ready.

To accompany the lessons, we’ve also released a new episode of our PSHE Talks podcast featuring Dr Harriet Over from the University of York (listen wherever you get your podcasts), and a new dedicated on-demand training course (available exclusively to School Plus members).
