September is always a special month for us, but this year even more so as Ellendel turns 10! 🎈

We can’t quite believe it’s been 10 years, and we’re so grateful to everyone who’s been part of Ellendel along the way.

We’re really looking forward to September and getting back to our classes in Wimbledon, Beckenham and Putney/Fulham, as well as launching our brand new South Cheam class.

Speech & Drama / English Teacher Wanted (Freelance – South London)

We’re looking for a qualified Speech & Drama Teacher (preferably with a Diploma in Speech & Drama) or an experienced English/Drama Teacher to join us on an ad hoc freelance basis.

The role:

* 1–2 classes per week

* Based in South London/ Sutton

* Some online teaching may be available

* Must be willing to travel to in-person classes

We’re incredibly grateful to every parent who takes the time to leave us a review on Trustpilot and sharing your family’s experience with Ellendel.

This year, we’ve been supporting students through private 1:1 tuition, from boarding school preparation and 7+, 8+, 11+ and 13+ entrance to leading London schools, to GCSE English, developing stronger reading and writing skills, and helping young people become more confident, articulate communicators through one-to-one mentoring.

Our work is informed by accredited training across key areas of language development, including:

* Vocabulary growth
* Expressive language and narrative skills

We often work alongside Speech and Language Therapists, reinforcing strategies from therapy sessions and helping students apply them in a structured, supportive learning environment.

This consistent approach allows students to build confidence, develop independence, and strengthen their ability to communicate effectively.

We keep our provision intentionally small, so each student receives carefully tailored support that meets their individual needs.
