*Summary of changes in immigration rules*

Yesterday, the Home Secretary unveiled a plan to reduce migration levels by implementing the following measures, starting from March 2024:

● Overseas care workers will not be allowed to bring their dependents to the UK.

● Student dependents are already prohibited.

● The government plans to raise the earning threshold for overseas workers from £26,200 to £38,700.

● The government's migration adviser will assess the graduate visa route to prevent misuse.

● The Immigration Health Surcharge is set to increase from £624 to £1,035.

● The minimum income for family visas has been raised from £18,600 to £38,700.

Ramadan Mubarak, wishing all Muslims in London and worldwide a blessed and joyful Ramadan. For the first time, London’s West End has been lit up with 30,000 sustainable lights to mark the holy month of Ramadan.

You can see London’s first-ever celebratory Ramadan lights on Coventry Street, which links Leicester Square with Piccadilly. The light display will illuminate the street each day for the month-long festival.
