*Summary of changes in immigration rules*

Yesterday, the Home Secretary unveiled a plan to reduce migration levels by implementing the following measures, starting from March 2024:

● Overseas care workers will not be allowed to bring their dependents to the UK.

● Student dependents are already prohibited.

● The government plans to raise the earning threshold for overseas workers from £26,200 to £38,700.

● The government's migration adviser will assess the graduate visa route to prevent misuse.

● The Immigration Health Surcharge is set to increase from £624 to £1,035.

● The minimum income for family visas has been raised from £18,600 to £38,700.
