Great Work Treats are back π Miss Gowers saw EVERY TGS child at the primary school last term to talk about their work and to enjoy a little treat each. They got to choose some stickers for their books and proudly showed Miss Gowers what they had been working on π She is looking forward to seeing all the children again during the Spring and Summer terms.
Our Reception children had such fun celebrating yesterday! They engaged in lots of activities related to books and reading, including arts and crafts. See the fantastic fun for yourself with the following class film.
Shiver me timbers π΄ββ οΈ A couple of rotten scallywags called Long John Silver and Billy Bones β οΈ came to our World Book Day assembly looking for treasure ππͺπβ¨ They threatened the teachers to give the map pieces our children had found π¬ But the children were clever and confused them with their directions for the treasure and got rid of the pirates π₯³ The children found the treasure chest and shared the gold coins equally between them π€©
Congratulations to these children who received a Special Mention π from their teachers at assembly this morning!
Hurrah for World Book Day π We held our super fun annual World Book Day assembly that culminated in a parade of colourful childrenβs book characters π€©
Well done to the eight girls from Forms 5 and 6 who represented The Gower School at the Cavendish Girls' Football Tournament! β½ They remained unbeaten in the group stage, earning eight points from four games and not conceding a single goal, finishing second on goal difference. In the 3rd/4th place playoff, they drew 1-1 but were unfortunate to lose on penalties, securing a fantastic 4th-place finish. ππ
