We are proud to celebrate the success of nearly 250 Isleworthians who took part in this year’s UK Maths Trust (UKMT) Maths Challenges, a national competition designed to stretch and inspire young mathematicians through problem-solving and logical thinking.
Junior Challenge (Years 7 & 8)
39% of participants achieved a Bronze, Silver or Gold award, with special congratulations to Kelvin (Year 7) and Nicholas (Year 8), our highest-scoring Junior competitors.
Intermediate Challenge (Years 9-11)
Almost 50% of entrants received colours, while four students progressed to the prestigious Intermediate Kangaroo round: A***n, Aaran (both Year 9), Mahin and Finley (both Year 11). Congratulations also to Roo, our top-performing Year 10 student.
Senior Challenge (Years 11-13)
42% of students achieved a Bronze, Silver or Gold award. Well done to Finley (Year 11), Hanaan (Year 12) and Ali (Year 13) for their outstanding performances, with Hanaan achieving the highest overall Senior score.
These fantastic results reflect the enthusiasm, resilience and mathematical talent of our students. Congratulations to everyone who took part and to our maths team for continuing this proud Isleworth & Syon tradition.
