Islamia Schools started as a nursery-age primary school (Islamia Primary School), with an initial enrolment of 13 children. In October 1983, Yusuf Islam purchased and renovated an old Victorian manor house in Brondesbury Park. Here, one of England's first full-time Muslim schools was born.
