⭐️Langar on Campus 2023⭐️

UCL Sikh Society is excited to announce that our annual Langar on Campus will take place on Monday 13th March in the South Cloisters of the main building.

Langar was introduced by the First Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak Dev ji, and is the idea of giving free food to everyone - regardless of colour, religion, status or gender. This form of equality is one of the foundations of the Sikh Religion that demonstrates some of the key teachings of the Guru Sahibs. For example, everyone is to sit on the same level symbolising that there is no higher or lower individual in comparison to another 🙏🏽

Let us all come together for this Langar on Campus to celebrate the important message of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and truly experience elements of Sikhi - like Seva (selfless service) and Sarbat da Bhala (wishing good upon all).

Keep an eye out for our call for volunteers…

Nominations for next year’s committee are open!

This is a fantastic opportunity to make your ideas become a reality and also make some worthwhile memories along the way! We invite all members to participate in the running for a position or voting for the committee! You must complete the first and second form by midday on the 6th March 2022, to stand for a position! The links are in the bio along with the full AGM pack where you can access more information about the roles available. There will be an opportunity for you to give a 2 minute speech where you can express your interest for the role followed by questions from the audience. The details of the hustings will be released shortly.

We really look forward to hearing from all of you that apply and we wish you the best of luck! - UCL Sikh Society Committee 2022/23
