2013 - Developing Women as Leaders at ING

Future Considerations partnered with the bank to develop the leadership capacity of key women. The key question was “how can we create inspiring and engaging leaders at ING?”.
The program brought together women from Turkey and the Netherlands. They ultimately committed themselves to “break down the ‘old school’ importance of hierarchy and stimulate co-creation and collaboration…”

Future Considerations is 50% female owned. We make a point of supporting women’s leadership and doing our best to be role models.

2011 - Innovating in Climate Change with Climate Change and Knowledge Network.

In April of 2010, we facilitated an innovation lab with the Climate and Development Knowledge Network(CDKN), bringing together a dynamic group of over 150 participants drawn from various sectors from around the world including key policy , and and produced over 20 game-changing proposals, many of which were developed.

2011 - Developing the Art of Leadership at the Tate

We developed a programme for their Gallery Directors and Assistant Directors to improve their management and leadership skills notably in the areas of setting clear direction; building effective alliances with internal and external stakeholders; communicating effectively; building greater reliability in delivering through others.
We facilitated a leadership development strategy for a cohort of 8 arts centre directors and their key staff, identifying current breakdowns across the national network, aligning the broad set of attitudes and behaviours along an identified leadership profile and collaboratively working to define what this may look like to build the foundation for future success.

2011 - Hammering out clear and agreed roles

The London Borough of Lambeth worked with Future Considerations to agree on clear roles that would inform organisational dynamics, recruiting, training and development. We stayed to support the transition with action learning groups and learning events.

Barclaycard’s executive team worked to increase alignment and organisational performance.

The first step was understanding what was, followed by dialogue and reflection to work on the critical elements of culture needed for improvement.

2009 - The NHS explores the “Bigger Picture”

At the UK’s NHS, we worked with leaders at all levels over three modules during a 9-month programme. We facilitated learning sets to support the project delivery. Projects, in this case, did not relate to the team of the participant, but were organization-wide priorities which helped participants to be involved in the ‘bigger picture’ beyond their department.

➡️ You’d think this was a head-line from this year, given recent developments… but Tesco was ahead of the curve.

Back in 2007, Tesco approached Future Considerations to help give employees a voice in how to address climate change. Using a number of large-group social innovation technologies, delegates identified numerous changes to store-level operations in order to reduce energy use and minimise waste. The results of which equated to a reduction of 8% of the total energy bill for Tesco or nearly 93,000 tonnes of CO2. Potentially even more important than the reduction of CO2 itself, delegates felt as if they could create the change with 90% reporting they were going to go and do something in their store and nearly 80% reporting that they have the information they need to save energy.

In 2020, the Tesco business in Central Europe achieved the UN SDG target to halve food waste by 2030 ten years ahead of target horizon.

In 2021, Tesco announced its latest sustainability strategy, an initiative to improve access to healthy sustainable diets.
