Ruskin Road Pre-School provides a safe and happy learning environment in which your child can develop self-esteem and independence through a variety of stimulating learning experiences. These are tailored to their individual needs and stages of development with a range of activities for individual and/or groups to achieve specific learning outcomes. Our pre-school programme is carefully structured to allow for the development of positive self-esteem, independence and personal development within the six key areas of learning as defined in the Early Years Foundation Stage:
- Personal, Social and Emotional development
- Communication, Language and Literacy
- Problem-solving, reasoning and numeracy
- Knowledge and Understanding of the World
- Physical development
- Creative development
Each half-term we investigate a different topic that allows your child to explore the areas defined above through related games, discussions, activities etc. The children are encouraged to bring in relevant items from home to display on our Interest Table and to exhibit in Show and Tell sessions.
