Elm Court students were inspired by a visit from Khamani Edwards, who shared his journey of living with dystonia, overcoming challenges, and building KJ’s Craft Time – creating inclusive, screen-free craft kits that help children develop fine motor skills, build confidence and enjoy hands-on creativity.

His story was a powerful reminder that your circumstances don’t define your future. After an engaging Q&A, our students celebrated completing the programme by receiving their certificates 🎉

Our Elm Court students recently spent the day at Raw Material, getting a behind-the-scenes look at the music industry.

They learnt about sync licensing, how producers can earn money from their music, and took on a real creative brief to produce a track for either Morley’s or Foot Locker.

The creativity and effort they put into their tracks was incredible, and they even had the chance to record their finished songs in the studio 👏

Elm court students swapped the classroom for the kitchen. 👩‍🍳🍪

From cooking breakfast, roast chicken and chips to baking cookies, they learnt practical skills they’ll be able to use long after today. And yes… they even got to take their creations home!

Hear directly from last year’s Dimz. Inc Academy cohort!

Last year’s Dimz Inc. Academy gave young creatives real access to the industry.

In one intensive week, participants worked alongside industry professionals to develop, shoot and pitch their own original ideas, gaining hands-on experience in production, storytelling and creative collaboration.

Since the programme, alumni have progressed into opportunities with organisations including Google and Channel 4.

What happens when a Foodbank visit becomes a school-wide campaign? 🥫🎨

Over the past few weeks, young people explored the realities of food poverty and the vital role food banks play in supporting local communities.

They designed posters for a competition, visited Lambeth & Croydon Foodbank to see community support in action, and their winning designs are now fronting a school-wide food donation campaign.

That’s learning turned into meaningful action.

A huge congratulations to all the young people who took part, and a special well done to our competition winners! 🏆

Thank you to our school partners, our staff, and the fantastic team at & for making this possible because together, we gave young people the opportunity to build confidence, develop their creativity, and discover the positive impact they can make in their communities.

Before joining Engage programme, Tsana describes herself as shy and unsure of what she wanted to do in the future.

Through the programme, she explored the issue of food poverty, designed the winning poster in a school-wide competition to raise awareness for the local food bank, and then put that learning into action by volunteering at the food bank alongside her peers as part of a work experience placement.

From creating a campaign that encouraged community support to helping sort and pack donations firsthand, Tsana developed her communication skills, teamwork, confidence, and creativity while gaining a deeper understanding of the impact food banks have on local communities.
