There is a common desire to affect a shift in thinking about design and creativity in rapidly developing societies, particularly with the present migrations of people across cultural and physical boundaries. This may be achieved principally by encouraging a critical dimension to the status quo, which accepts the contemporary condition as the reference in our enquiry for future projections. We seek to act as a platform and hub for new thinking & ideas
There are many disparate strands of new and exciting thought emanating from designers in the global south, and bukka seeks to draw them together. We are particularly interested in reaching out to students and the younger generation, as these people will be the decision makers of tomorrow.
