I love travelling. I love showing my boys as much of the world as I possibly can.

But adventure doesn’t have to mean getting on a plane. This place is 40 minutes from home

Even when we’re home in London, I want us to explore. Find somewhere new. Swim somewhere wild. Get outside our normal little routine and actually DO something.

I think that’s the bit I want them to grow up with most.

Curiosity.

The feeling that there’s always somewhere else to discover — even if it’s just down the road.

And apparently absolutely no concern whatsoever about how bloody cold the water is. 😂

Most barrel rolls aren’t wrong…

They’re just too round.

A true 1940s barrel roll isn’t a tube sitting on the head. It’s carefully opened, shaped and dressed to create a flatter surface, stronger silhouette and more authentic period finish.

It’s the tiny adjustments that separate a hairstyle that looks “vintage inspired” from one that genuinely looks 1940s.

The difference isn’t the roll.

It’s how you shape it.

There was a time when saying no to work made me panic.

What if they never asked again?
What if someone else took my place?
What if I wasn’t busy enough?

It took me years to realise that being good at everything wasn’t the goal.
Becoming really good at something specific changed the way I worked.

I stopped needing every job.
I could choose the ones I actually wanted.

And sometimes… I can just be here. 🌊
