This year’s Christmas trees have been chosen! 🎄🎄🎄
Our Barn Owls children from both South & Central went on an adventure to find the best trees for both our Nurseries 🎄
After making their selection they helped James wrap them and used their big strong muscles to take them to the till where they all helped scan and pay for our beautiful trees.
They made excellent choices and now the trees are up and ready for decorating ✨
Well done Barn Owls!! 🎄🎄🎄

We continued to celebrate Black History month, Diwali and all the festivities of autumn 🍂 🎆

What we’ve been up to recently 🥰🍁🎨
Autumn art! Fine motor activities! Celebrating Black History month! Treasuring friendships! Looking after our garden! Autumnal sensory play! And so much more!
The best times playing and learning together 🥰🍂

Science is cool! 🧫🔭🧬🥼🧪
Our children have been practicing their skills as mini scientists! We’ve been using pipettes and sponges to transfer liquids between containers - great fine motor skills! We were testing which method was faster - transferring with sponges or pipettes. A really fun experiment full of predictions and discoveries!
We’ve also been pouring and measuring liquids which is great for practicing our control and coordination.
We spent time exploring textures too, while playing with feathers, lentils, and sand in a messy tray - using descriptive language such as soft, rough, smooth...
We also did some predicting and comparing of which materials felt heavier or lighter. Weighing to see who guessed correctly!

Of course, safety first so we wore protective goggles and felt like real scientists! 👩‍🔬🧑‍🔬

We were so proud of how confident our children were meeting new friends at Cedar View today!
Our Preschoolers from both Central and South met up and we visited this beautiful home again 💛
We enjoyed singing lots of our favourite songs together including baby shark which was a great laugh for all the residents when we got to Grandma shark (who hasn’t got teeth) ☺️☺️
We had so much fun playing catch, singing nursery rhymes and dancing together 🥰
When it was time to say goodbye we had bonded so much that there were some lovely cuddles to say see you soon 🥹
So beautiful to unite the early years and the elderly years again and we already can’t wait for next time! 🥰🥰
