Luke here, Iโve come to the difficult decision of closing down PTC.
A few years back we stopped taking on new personal trainer students and only had our online courses available to enrol on.
We reduced the team size in July 2022 and I personally took a sabbatical to work out my next steps
Iโve made the difficult decision to no longer run PTC and focus on my next venture (TheBestPTSoftware)
More on that soon.
If you are a past student you will still have access to your courses.
Thank you to all the staff members over the years
Thank you to all of our specialist tutors for their amazing courses
Thank you to all of our amazing students that have gone on to do great things
Thank you to you for following this account

We bet you already do most of these but sometimes we forget to optimise them
A referral from a client can help dramatically reduce the time it takes to get a new client to sign up. They trust their friend and if they vouch for you, it helps eliminate a lot of the doubt
What percentage of new clients come from a referral of past and present clients?

In this study, recovery and performance measures for a high volume and a high intensity session were compared. Knowing the differences in recovery times will help us when it comes to designing a program. A common theme we have spoken about often is proper volume allocation during the week. This study is another example of why that is important and how to approach it. โฃ
โฃ
High volume sessions will likely take longer time to recover from so placing these days early in the week where you are more fresh is a good idea. High intensity sessions require a high degree of focus and technical proficiency. Handling this heavier loads is a skill so it is important to come into these sessions feeling recovered and in a good mindset.โฃ

We have some really interesting research here that gives us some good insight on exercise behavior

This is a good example of why it is important to not look at things in a vacuum. When reading studies, talking to other people, or getting any form of information, there is always something you can take away from it. It is not always a straight forward takeaway of "this is the results and the only way to apply it". If we keep an open mind, we open up more possibilities of learning and growing which puts us in a better position to help others
