And that's another done for another year! A massive congrats to everyone who competed and to Marine for getting silver in the novice category and Craig for winning the Brown belt open!

Tomorrow's session will be an exciting one, as we will be joined by the one and only Sensei! Joe started his Jiu Jitsu journey back in Bangor, where his background in Karate and Judo allowed him to be a well rounded Jitsuka from the get go.

After getting his Brown belt, he then moved over to Leeds where he brought his in depth martial arts knowledge to several clubs in the region. This knowledge recently saw him achieve his 2nd Dan in the TJJF and we are super privileged for him to come and join us this week at QM!

If you want to join us, we start at 8.30 pm at QMotion 💪

And now onto our final instructor who will be teaching at the QM 20th Anniversary session this Saturday! Let's give it up for Alex Macaulay Sensei, 3rd Dan:

*A note from the editor: here we reached out to Alex to create a bio for this post. He informed us that all people need to know is that he was the head instructor for almost 10 years and that you have to turn up on Saturday to hear the rest.

So with that in mind, join us on 28th October, 10-12 at Somerstown Sports Centre. £10 for the session! Details can be found here: https://facebook.com/events/s/20-years-of-qm-awesomeness/3167847586844660/

Are you ready for the next announced instructor for the QM 20th Anniversary session this Saturday? Let's give it up for Elikem Jubey Sensei, 1st Dan:

"*QMSU Freshers Fair, September 2015. Some dude in a dogi wearing a purple belt says he does Jiu Jitsu and hands me a small piece of paper (special shout out to you, Jack). As someone who had only heard of Jiu Jitsu loosely and was very intrigued, I immediately made a mental note to attend its first session the Monday evening.

From consistently training with friends, going to national tournament parties dressed as minions, helping me through mental health issues, to achieving my black belt in 2023...

..For a martial art that's about twisting your opponent round your head and spinning them like a helicopter because they faafo'd, it's done me pretty good."

Join us on 28th October, 10-12 at Somerstown Sports Centre. £10 for the session! Details can be found here: https://facebook.com/events/s/20-years-of-qm-awesomeness/3167847586844660/

We're really excited to announce our line up of instructors teaching at the QM 20th Anniversary session this Saturday! First up, we have Ian Bradley Sensei, 3rd Dan:

"My first encounter with the beast that is QM jitsu was during a fresher demo in 200*mumblemumble*. I was there with a friend, with whom we'd tried every martial arts club available so far, we watched this tall nerdy dude in a black skirt lay unholy waste to everyone in his wake. We obviously joined up. Having received my yellow 2 a few months later my proud instructor set the tone for the rest of my journey with "so why didn't you get 3 stripes?"

The rest is, as we say, history."

Join us on 28th October, 10-12 at Somerstown Sports Centre. £10 for the session!
