We had 28 solar panels installed on our roof recently. Hear from headteacher Ms Khinich talking about how we will reinvest the projected savings, whilst producing - and using! - clean energy.
A quote from Ms Khinich is also featured on the GOV.UK website, recognising our commitment to sustainability: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/100-schools-cutting-bills-with-great-british-energy-solar-panels #:~:text=Great%20British%20Energy%20and%20government%20is%20investing%20up%20to%20%C2%A3,up%20to%20%C2%A3520%20million
Georgia Gould, local MP and Minister for School Standards, visited us recently and heard it all directly from our pupils: https://www.kilburngrangeschool.org.uk/News/Minister-for-School-Standards-celebrates-our-susta/

Our pupils were excited to receive a letter from the Minister for School Standards and local MP Georgia Gould - MP for Queen's Park and Maida Vale, following her visit last week.
In her letter, Ms Gould praised the children for their enthusiasm and understanding of environmental issues, and commended the steps we are taking towards improving sustainability across the school.
Thank you, Ms Gould, for taking the time to visit us and celebrate our pupils’ hard work and our school’s commitment to a greener future.

Last week, our pupils came dressed as doctors, police officers, and even pilots for our annual Career Day!
Our visitors included a paramedic, police constables from Hounslow Police, our very own chef, a GP, and other inspiring professionals, all bringing learning to life with their engaging talks.
Our children asked thoughtful questions, explored new ideas, and discovered careers they’d never heard of before. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they imagined their own futures and challenged stereotypes.
A huge thank you to all the professionals who volunteered their time!

Today, Minister for School Standards and local MP Georgia Gould, together with two Brent Councillors, came to hear all about the 28 solar panels recently installed on the roof as part of the Net Zero Accelerator Programme.
Pupils demonstrated how solar panels work to our guests. They did themselves and us proud with their curiosity and bubbling personalities. Very well done to them!
